Doris Ann Kallas left her earthly vessel on August 17, 2018, after a long illness. We will gather for a prayer service at 6 pm followed by a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:30 – 7:30 pm Monday, August 20, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 81 years on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 10 am at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church. She leaves us to be united with her beloved husband John Kallas; her sisters, Fran Holland and Peggy Moore; as well as her parents, Malcolm and Inez Millner.
Doris was born in Decatur County, Tennessee, on June 3, 1937. She attended Memphis State University before moving to Lubbock, TX. Doris worked most of her life to raise two sons with wisdom and love. She was a founding member of Saint Andrew Greek Orthodox Church in Lubbock where she served generously and faithfully.
She is survived by her son, Gust Kallas and his sons, John and Christopher; and her son, Michael Kallas with his wife Michelle and their son, Alexander. She is also survived by her brother, Bob Millner. Our beloved mother is gone. May her memory be eternal.
