Donna Jean Albin

Donna Jean (Sperry) Albin, age 82, of Lubbock, TX passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. Donna is survived by her husband, Robert C. Albin, a daughter, Sydney Dean and husband Sonny, son Craig Albin and wife Jeannette. Grandchildren, Garrison and Madye Dean, Olin and Maddie Dean Moody, John and Whitney Dean Shepard, Marie Albin, Brittney Albin, Robert A. Albin and bonus daughter, Sandy Coleman, husband Randy and family. She is preceded in death by her infant son, Robert Lynn, Douglas Sperry, brother and parents Ora and Ocel Sperry.

Donna and Bob grew up together in Follett, Texas and enjoyed 63 married and blessed years together. She played the piano for the United Methodist Church in her hometown. Donna’s main emphasis was her faith and family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, fishing in Red River, NM, picking plums on their land in Follett and many special outings. Her hobbies included floral arranging, gardening, tending to her greenhouse and crafting. Donna was the ultimate homemaker, from cooking to sewing to doing anything she needed to do for her family. She loved traveling with Bob to Texas Tech functions and to see family and friends. She enjoyed entertaining and hosting friends in her home. She was an example of hospitality and servanthood.
