Denise Ann Sanchez passed away on January 14, 2020. The family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6 to 8 pm on today, January 16, 2020, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. We will celebrate her life of 64 years at 10 am on Friday, January 17, 2020, at Skyline Baptist Church. Friends are invited to share memories and expressions of sympathy for the family to cherish in the area below the obituary.Denise Ann Sanchez was born on November 9, 1955, to Norman and LaRue Fremont in Lubbock, TX. She was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. She grew up in east Lubbock and remained a Lubbock Native her whole life. She attended Estacado High School. She worked for the city of Lubbock for many years. She had a huge place in her heart for each of her family members and close friends of the family. Denise had a love for sports. Especially her Texas teams. Never missed watching her Cowboys or the Rangers. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed music with her all-time favorite artist being Elvis Presley. Denise was always very entertaining making others laugh. She was a member of Skyline Baptist Church although she did attend Bacon Heights Baptist Church for a period of time in her late years. Ms. Sanchez had such a strong spirit and bold personality. Denise was one of the most honest and strongest spirits that anyone could know. She was very proud of her heritage being an American Indian from the Omaha tribe of Nebraska.Survivors include her children, Leann Fremont; David L. Sanchez and wife Alexandra; grandchildren, Xavier Fremont, Lauren Flores, Dominik Flores, Mileena Sanchez, and Joelie Sanchez; siblings include Charles Fremont, Norma Fremont, Mary Rautis, Madeline Fremont, Rex Fremont and Patricia Miramontes.She was preceded in death by her father, Norman N. Fremont; and her beloved husband, Jose L. Sanchez.
