A service to celebrate the life of Max Christopher, 80 years of life is scheduled at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, followed by a time of fellowship with family and friends. David Max Christopher was born May 24, 1942, to Jim and Lula Christopher in Spur, TX. He married Suzanne Miller on June 6, 1981, at St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Lubbock. TX.

Max founded Lubbock Cash Register Company before opening an Allstate Insurance Agency. He later started a new Insurance Agency in Lubbock, Insure-All. Max participated in AMBUCS and was a member of the Texas Tech Red Raider Club and Lakeridge Country Club. He spent many hours at the country club with his golfing buddies. Max loved playing golf in Ruidoso and going to the horse races. He spent several years as a steward for the Quarter Horse Association.

He earned many trips and enjoyed traveling with Suzanne and discovering a new golf course. Max and Suzanne were supporters of Texas Tech Athletics, especially football and basketball.

Max loved Suzanne Jr. and David and was a devoted father.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Christopher; children, Suzanne “Jr” Tillman and David Christopher of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Jordan McQuay and Natalia Caywood; sister, Lynda Marshall; several nieces and nephew; BFF, Gary Scott; and fur babies, Holly and Presley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Lula Christopher; brothers Chick Christopher, Neil Christopher, and Gordon Christopher.

I am very sorry for your loss. As a marketing rep I loved calling on Max in the office. We became friends and always had a great visit about his love for Texas Tech and his great Tech memorabilia!!!!! I've missed seeing him since his retirement. Your family is in my prayers. I know he will be missed.

Max was a great friend I learned over the many years I knew him to always be genuine and a perfect gentleman. He gave generously to causes that affected the future lives of many children who didn’t have in a meaningful and positive way! He did not seek publicity -was very quiet with his acts of philanthropy. He had the kind of personality that demonstrated honesty, sincerity, kindness, humbleness, integrity and compassion. Max had an outstanding work ethic and was so trustworthy, which helped him become successful as a businessman. He left this world better because he was here. God bless our dear Suzanne and family as they hold memories close and remember that they are not alone. Many of us continue to pray for them and the peace that only God can and will give.

Max was a good man. We always enjoyed getting to spend time with y’all on trips. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathy. Nancy and Bill Eggar

Suzanne, I am so sorry to hear about Max. Keeping you in my prayers, as well as your family. I lost my husband five years ago this Christmas Eve. We had been married 56 years. I has been really hard but time does help. Sending much love.

Suzanne, I am so sorry to hear of Max’s passing. He and Homer were such good friends during college days at Patio Apartments. I always enjoyed watch them interacting with each other. They both enjoyed life to its fullest! Will be praying for you and your family in the months ahead! Love you!
