On June 8, 1983, Daniel Villarreal was born to Luz Velia Salazar in Levelland, TX.  Daniel and Ashley were married on 8/11/06 in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Daniel was a small- town kid, with an insatiable hunger for life.  While in High School he was a star under the Friday night football lights, a master with the ball on the court, fast as lightning on the track, and strong as a bull with the weights. He was as gifted and talented as they come, but what set him apart was his hard work, grit, perseverance, and determination. He carried these traits into life after high school, where he went on to complete his degree and start his own business. He was the founder and creator of Design Tech, where his mantra was “the customer is more than a transaction.” Well, that may have been his wife’s motto, in fact, he would always get annoyed when she said it, but he carried it out to perfection! Over the past decade, he built his clientele through his warm smile, hearty laugh, and the quality and professionalism of his work.  He loved his family with all his heart. He could often be seen with his wife in his massive diesel truck donning a Patriots or Tech flag, or on his street bike going for a Sunday drive. He loved to fish, but he loved to teach his nieces and nephews how to fish even more.  He was kind and gentle at home with his wife Ashley and their two cats, Ginger and Alley.  He was a fierce competitor at work running his business with top-notch service, and he was always there for a warm welcome accompanied by a stern handshake or a hug.  He was always available to family and friends for a chat during his busy schedule, and he was never too busy to send a meme to perfectly describe any scenario in a way that would make us think, “how does he come up with this stuff?.”  Daniel was a huge supporter of his nieces and nephews and attended many of their school events and made time to provide them with special trips to a monster truck rally or out to the lake for some fishing. Daniel made a huge impact on those that crossed paths with him.  His soft hazel eyes brought hope and light to all those around him.

Survivors include his wife, Ashley Salazar; his mother, Luz Velia Salazar; siblings, Isaac Salazar, Miguel Salazar, Joel (Maria) Salazar; Jazmin Medrano, and Lucy Salazar; brothers-in-law, Dustin (Abby) Perez, and Eric (Heather) Perez; sister-in-law Cortney (Gabe) Harris; Father-in-law, David Perez; and mother-in-law, Deniese Boyte.
