Daniel Ray San Miguel, a beloved son, brother, and friend, was born on March 29, 1982, in Midland, TX. On October 2, 2024, he passed away peacefully, leaving an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Daniel’s life reflected positivity and joy. He held a special place in his heart for his family and loved working with children. He shared love and warmth with everyone he encountered as he rode his three-wheel bike through Midland.
His faith was a cornerstone of his life, evident by his regular attendance at Kelview Heights Baptist Church, where he was an active member for over 35 years. He was involved in the kids’ choir and AWANA program, and his church family was a strong influence on his spirituality, which he cherished deeply.
Daniel found happiness in simple pleasures such as shopping at Walmart, cheering on the University of Oklahoma, playing board games, and relishing quality meals. He graduated from Midland Robert E. Lee High School in 2000 and went on to Midland College, where he earned an Associate degree in General Studies. Daniel later attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Youth Ministry.
Daniel was fearless in his faith and never hesitated to share it. He eagerly witnessed to everyone he met, openly sharing his deep love for Christ and spreading the message of his Lord and Savior.
Daniel is preceded in death by his beloved Abuela, Theodora San Miguel. He is survived by his mother, Olga San Miguel; his brother, Jaime Azuaje and his wife, Heather; his nephew, Captain Azuaje; his niece, Luna Azuaje; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Though he is no longer with us, Daniel’s memory will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him. His kindness and love will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and community. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will never be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held on October 26, 2024, in Midland, TX, at Kelview Heights Baptist Church, 402 W. Scharbauer Dr., Midland, TX 79705.
