Daniel House, Dan, Big Dan, “Booms” passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Dan’s family will host a gathering of family and friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A service to celebrate his life of 43 years is scheduled at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, followed by a graveside service at Peaceful Gardens.

Dan was born February 6, 1982, to Ronald and Monica Cox House in Lubbock, TX. Dan’s life centered around family, friends, and music, especially anything by Gary Allan.

Dan graduated from Lubbock High School in 2000 and was a member of the football team while there. Dan worked for several years as a transport driver for the elderly and intellectually disabled. Dan had a love for Chicago White Sox baseball and Miami Dolphins football since childhood, but his absolute favorite sports teams were the ones that his nephews Cannon and Chase played with. Dan was the life of the party, his presence larger than life, and he was always finding ways to make people laugh. Dan had a quick wit, unmatched sense of humor, and he enjoyed the simple things in life. Dan loved the JP Lopez Show Podcast and always looked forward to being a guest on the show. Dan reconnected with the love of his life, Natalie in 2020 and proposed two years later. He always looked forward to the day they would marry and spoke of it often.

Dan is survived by his mother Monica and her husband Paul Harding; fiancé Natalie Roach; brother, Carl (Jodie) House, nieces, Lauren Miller and Megan Sue, sister, Amanda (Mike) Adcock, nephew, Max House, brother, David (Abby) House, nephews, Cannon House and Chase House; and numerous other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald House.

In lieu of flowers, Dan’s family has designated Kingdom Come Ministries to donate in his memory.

I'm so sorry for your loss and my heartfelt sympathies go out to the family. I will forever cherish the friendship and time I had with 'Dan the man'. We worked together for many, many years and our friendship continued as the years went by and we spoke often. His humor and kind-heartedness is something I will miss dearly. Oh how this guy loved Gary Allan and his Miami Dolphins! He made sure to never miss an opportunity to give me a hard time about the Dallas Cowboys!! But there was nothing he loved more than his nephews, Cannon and Chase and he spoke of them often and I could just see how proud he was to be their Uncle. Dan, thank you for always being good to my Fur-babies and dog-sitting them so often, they loved you! ♥ I will miss you my friend, and thank you for always being the friend I never knew I always needed. Dan always made me laugh and I will miss his special laugh so much. I can hear it in my head and keep thinking this isn't real. I was so lucky to be his aunt. My heart is broken. The pain that Monica is going through is a pain no parent should ever have to know. Carl, Amanda and David I know your hearts are broken and the pain is enormous. Dan loved Big and I imagine he is with Dad "Granddad" now and hearing "Booms". I Love you all so very much.

My heart goes out to the family!!! Dan even though we didn’t talk often when we did it was like nothing had ever changed!! I enjoyed all the memories we had together from closing down blockbuster to Gary Allen concerts. I really loved going to the Ranger game with you and your family! God took one of the good ones way too soon!!! Save me a seat Dan the Man!! I will see you again!
