Cruz Infante Mungia was born on January 19, 1970, and went to be home with her Lord and Savior on March 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a resilient woman, known for her unwavering strength, infectious laughter, and deep devotion to her family and friends.
Cruz’s life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her loved ones. She married Santos Mungia Jr. on January 22nd, 1987 in Lubbock, Texas. She was a loving mother to her four children, and a devoted grandmother to her 17 cherished grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. A strong pillar in her family, Cruz will be remembered for the warmth she brought to every gathering and the unconditional love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Cruz was known for her love of crafting, sewing and baking. She loved making things for others, the fact that she loved gifting things from the heart really shows how much she valued the connection with others. Whether she made a blanket, cake pops, or handmade jewelry it really showed how much care and thought she put into her creations. When something is made with love, it’s more than just a gift—it’s a piece of the person’s heart.
Cruz is survived by her husband, Santos Mungia; children, Santos (Lorena) Mungia III, Candace (Michelle) Mungia, Samantha (Hector) Mungia, Jerry (Samantha) Mungia; 17 grandchildren; siblings, Sylvia Baca, Ralph (Maria) Infante, Angela Infante, Serafin (Margie) Infante, Juan (Margaret) Infante, Alberto Infante, Fidel Infante, Efrain (Teresa) Infante, Reyes (Mary) Infante, Miguel Infante. Each of them will hold a piece of Cruz’s heart, and they will carry forward her legacy of kindness, resilience, and love.
In honor of Cruz’s remarkable life, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Chapel on March 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories and stories, celebrating the indelible impact she left on all of us. Prior to this, a Visitation will be held at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, on March 12, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Cruz’s life will be commemorated and cherished during these gatherings.
As we gather to remember Cruz, let us celebrate her faith, love, and her strength, and the beautiful memories she gifted us all. She will always be a guiding light in our lives, and her spirit will be carried forward by those she touched.
Cruz was preceded in death by her parents, Roque and Juilia Infante, and siblings, Joe Infante, Rosario Casarez.
