CMSGT Laurence E Wittich made his journey to Heaven on Sunday, January 17, 2021, of natural causes.He was born February 15, 1941, in Maywood, CA, to Carl Frederick and Bobbie Helen Wittich. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister. At the age of 19, Larry enlisted into the US Air Force, where he chose his loved career as an aircraft mechanic. Larry Wittich and Susan Marie Anderson were joined in marriage on May 8, 1965, in Baldwin Park, CA. The two have been happily married for 55 years and raised three sons: Carl, Kenneth (wife; Lyz), and Curtis. Larry and Susan are the proud grandparents of eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Larry passionately and honorably served in the US Air Force, accepting many different assignments across the United States, Germany, and Vietnam. He was the recipient of commendations and medals throughout a distinguished military career. Larry’s most notable recognition was the presentation of the Bronze Star for his heroic actions while his airbase was under attack during the Vietnam War. In November of 1989, CMSGT Laurence E Wittich was honorably retired from duty at Reese AFB in Lubbock TX, after 30 continuous years of service.
