Clayton James Coalson went to be with the Lord Thursday April 7, 2016, at the age of 37. Clayton was born on August 15, 1978, to Larry Coalson and Anna (Thompson) Sallee in Clovis, NM. Clayton grew up in New Mexico and was active in Boy Scouts and Little League Baseball. He was artistic and in high school he won several ribbons in different art competitions. He had two passions in life: his daughter, Jordan, and cooking. He was a talented chef and was most recently employed as a cook at the Egg and I restaurant here in Lubbock. His favorite position was working as a chef on an offshore oil rig where he had the opportunity to demonstrate his culinary skills. Survivors include: his mother, Anna Sallee, and step-father, Fred, of Pearland, TX; father, Larry Coalson (DeeAnn) of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Jordan Paige Coalson of Jersey Village, TX; brothers, Clinton Sallee-Thompson of Albuquerque, NM; Cody (Amy) Coalson of Lubbock, TX; step-sister, Jenny (Tim) of Houston, TX; step-brothers, Robert (Katrina) Sallee of Newburg, MO; and John Sallee of Lubbock, TX; and eleven nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and by his brother, Christopher Coalson.
