The family of Claudene Craddick invites loved ones to gather for a time of fellowship and remembrance on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers in Lubbock, Texas. A celebration of her remarkable life, which spanned 85 years, will follow at 2:00 PM in the same location. A private family graveside service will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Claudene gained her heavenly wings on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
Claudene was born on June 18, 1939, in Horatio, Arkansas, to her loving parents, Raymond Faye and Flossie Gallimore Slaton. During her childhood, her family relocated to Levelland, Texas, where she graduated from Levelland High School. On June 8, 1962, Claudene married the love of her life, Jimmy Craddick, in Lubbock, Texas.
A woman of boundless generosity and a nurturing heart, Claudene devoted herself to her family and community. Her hearty cooking and passion for sewing brought comfort and joy to those around her. Professionally, she dedicated 25 years to a career in banking at American State Bank, where she cultivated enduring friendships with colleagues and customers alike.
Claudene will be remembered as a sweet and spirited mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, affectionately known as “Nonie.” Her warmth, determination, and fiery spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Danetta (Randall) Durrett and Cody Craddick; her bonus children, Davis (Tammy) Craddick, Dennis Craddick, and Saletta Morgan; her grandchildren, Randi (Scott) DeVore and Dylan (Jasmine) Durrett; her bonus grandchildren, Krista (Eddie) Banales, Keith (Jennifer) Craddick, Kayla (Jonathan) Mansour, and Kirk (Shayla) Craddick; her brother, Raymond (Vicki) Slaton; and many beloved great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Craddick, and her parents, Raymond Faye and Flossie Slaton.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Promiseland Homes for the compassionate care provided to Claudene over the past three years.
