Charlotte was born in Borger, TX to Warren D Miller and Rosa Lee Lewis Miller on Sep. 4, 1937. She moved to Plainview, TX while in elementary school and graduated from Plainview High School in 1955. She was a twirler and flute player in the band where she met her future husband, Roy, when she was a freshman and he was a sophomore. After graduating, she attended airline school in Kansas City then went to work for Braniff Airlines in Dallas as a teletype operator. She and Roy were married in Plainview in 1958 and settled in Lubbock where she was transferred. Soon after, they were blessed with a daughter, Cherié, and then two sons, Roy III and Steven D. She continued to work for Braniff then later Delta Airlines. She thoroughly enjoyed her family, their cabin at White River Lake and later Camp Blue Haven, traveling, and helping others plan and enjoy their travel. Loved by all who knew her, she always had a smile for everyone and was the first one called whenever a true prayer warrior was needed.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Roy, and sons, Roy (Robby) and Steve, her brother Dale Miller, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Roy requests that in lieu of other expressions, please consider a memoriam to the Lubbock Children’s Home.
