Charles Evans Geist, Jr. passed away Monday, January 11, 2016. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 66 years today, January 13, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel. A tribute of Charles’s life may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family.Charles was born on July 11, 1949, to Charles Sr. and Billie Fae Stringer Geist in Grand Prairie, Texas. He earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Texas Tech University in 1972 and a Master of Divinity from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana in 1977. Charles’s employment history includes: Perkins’s Music Company, Trinity Christian Schools, Lubbock Bible Church, Southwest Learning and Behavior Consultants, Sentinel Bookstore, and AT&T. He retired from AT&T in 2014. He loved music of all kinds and was a talented classical and jazz guitarist. He loved his family and studying the Bible.Survivors include his siblings Paul Geist, Cynthia Hunt and husband, Michael, John Geist and wife, Becky, James Geist and wife, Dana; three nephews, Jonathan, Evan, and Cole Geist; and a niece, Miranda Geist.
