Charles Stanley Carman of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Wednesday morning, April 13th, 2022. Charles was a tremendously loving husband, father, grandfather, pastor, and friend. Charles served as a minister at several churches before moving to Lubbock, Texas in April of 1971 where he felt God calling him to plant a new church. He served alongside his wife at Raintree Christian Church for 29 years, retiring in 2000. Upon retiring he served as a chaplain for 17 years with Covenant Medical Center/Radiation and Oncology. He moved to Joplin, Missouri in 2018 to be near his family. He continued to preach regularly at Wildwood Senior Living in Joplin. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Memorial services to celebrate his life of 86 years will be held at 2 PM on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Raintree Christian Church in Lubbock.

On April 30, 1935, Charles Stanley Carman was born to Arthur and Sylva Carman in Camargo, Oklahoma. He married Roberta Barr on February 7, 1964, in Oklahoma City.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Sylva Carman; his brothers, Marion, Leo, and Walter Carman; and his wife, Roberta Carman.

He is survived by siblings, Carol Nicolai of Geary, OK; Everett Carman of Woodward, OK; Jean Bochow of Stuttgart, Germany; Mary Hardesty of Kingston, OK; Tom Carman of Camargo, OK; and Robert Carman of Weatherford, OK; his 3 children, Dean Knight of Lubbock, Texas; Stanley Carman and wife, Jo of Garland, Texas; daughter, Donna Mitchell and husband Dan, of Oronogo, Missouri; grandchildren, Andrea Cruce of Lubbock; Breanna Job and husband, Bronson of Langley, BC; Taylor Knight of Maine; Charles Carman and wife Christi of Joplin, MO; Madison Christian and husband, Alex of Webb City, MO; Abigail Carman and Hannah Carman of Redding, CA; Emilee Mitchell of Webb City, MO; Benjamin, Elijah and Samuel Carman of Garland; Claire and Hunter Mitchell of Oronogo, MO; and great-grandchildren, Julian Cruce of Lubbock; Winifred Job of Langley, BC; Rhett Carman of Joplin, MO; and Finley Christian of Webb City, MO.
