The family of Carolyn Henry will host a gathering of family and friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A graveside service to celebrate her life of 80 years is scheduled at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. She died on Thursday, March 23, 2023. Carolyn was born December 25, 1942, to Marion and Rekia Massey Bradshaw in Lubbock, TX. She married Fred Henry on May 15, 1969, in Crosbyton Texas. Carolyn retired from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center after 32 years of service.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Fred Henry; children Stephen Henry, Kristi Henry, Kathi Henry; grandchildren, Tucker Henry, Teague Henry, Mallory Bell; brother, Dan Bradshaw.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Rekia Bradshaw.

In lieu of flowers, the family has chosen the National Kidney Foundation and the American Heart Association for donations in her memory.

When I was in Medical School @ TTUHSC, Mrs. Henry alway had a 'Hug' for the Medical Students that needed one. And she gave some of the best! She was one of my Mother's very best friends...never short on laughter or stories to bring a smile or tear of joy and laughter to anyone. Now, she is making all the Angels as well as the Stars in the night sky twinkle brighter with her laughter. I shall always think of her when I see a Star at night that is Big and Bright... I’m so sorry to hear of Carolyn’s passing. I starting working with her in 1974 at the Office of Accounting and Finance. She was a constant kind, calm, and source of good advice. She hired my roomies when they needed jobs. Just a kind sweet person. She loved her family and talked about each of you, including Fred often. Bless you all.
