On April 1, 1946, Carol Ann was born to David and Mabel (Ramsay) Wolfe in Pampa, TX. The family moved around Texas several times on her journey to high school, where she graduated in 1964 from Muleshoe High School. From there, Carol attended St. Anthony’s Nursing School and became a registered nurse. After a few years of travel and seeing the world, Carol and John Delaney settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, and later welcomed Shawna in 1976, bringing light and joy to their lives. Carol continued her passion and career as a registered nurse for 50 years, touching the lives of so many community members, clinicians, peers, and others every day before retiring from the Department of State Health Services in 2013. In retirement, Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren, volunteering with church projects and the church mission, and working on crafts and hobbies. She was an avid seamstress and quilter. Her bubbly personality and lighthearted spirit will be missed by everyone.

Survivors include her daughter, Shawna Delaney, of Lubbock; grandchildren, Ashley Martinez, Arienne Martinez (Elena Vargas), Declan Kelly; siblings, James (Judy) Wolfe, Stephen Wolfe; and numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Wolfe; mother, Mabel Wolfe; brother, Ronald Wolfe.

The family of Carol Delaney has designated Hope Shalom of Calvary Baptist Church for memorial contributions donated in her memory.
