Carmelita Dunham Flannery passed away Thursday, February 20th, 2025 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on September 30, 1951, In Stamford NY, she was the daughter of the late Gerardo and Juanita (Warner) Dunham.
Carme worked as a beautician in New Jersey for several years before moving back to Stamford, which is where she met the love of her life. She married John (Jack) Flannery on August 6th, 1982. Together, they raised 4 children together who grew into successful adults: Melissa Velez and partner Scott Cherry of Lubbock TX, Melinda and Anthony Parker of Rochester, Illinois; Jennifer (Flannery) Lewis and husband Roger of Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, And Sean Flannery of Aurora, Colorado.
She had a deep love of family, traveling, crafting, and animals. Carme also cherished her grandchildren, Katelynn Lewis, and brothers Chase and Matthew.
Besides her parents, Carme was predeceased by her older sister Patricia Townsend Hobbie, August 25th,2019.
She is Survived by her husband Jonn, Lubbock Texas; and children; brother Gerardo Dunham and wife Valerie of Middleburg, New York, and sister Susan Dunham.
