It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Candace Lynn Lindeman-Hoyle, affectionately known as Candy, who left us on April 13, 2025. Born on November 10, 1954, in Dallas, Texas, Candy grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Coronado High School. She continued her education at West Texas State in Canyon, TX, and later earned her nursing degree from Methodist School of Nursing, becoming a dedicated Registered Nurse.
Candy spent her career caring for others, starting at West Texas Hospital before working with Dr. James Morris, then moving on to Highland Hospital, and ultimately retiring from Covenant Surgery Center. Her compassion and kindness shone through in her work and in her life, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
On June 28, 1991, Candy married the love of her life, John Hoyle, in a joyous ceremony in Las Vegas. Candy cherished spending time with her loved ones, enjoying hobbies like playing Bingo and diving into her favorite computer games. She had a special love for flowers and animals, especially dogs and cats.
Candy is survived by her husband, John Hoyle; son, Jason (Heather) Lindeman; grandchildren, Arya and Sebastian Lindeman; sister, Kim (Steve) Mauldin; brother, James “Bo” Evans, Jr.; nephews, James “Jim” (Kai) Evans III and Matthew (Aggi) Mauldin; and niece, Kristin Mauldin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James “Jim” Evans in 2023, and Betty Evans in 2024.
