Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and “Nanny” to all she touched and nurtured, Bunny passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas, after a long and courageous fight with her health.
Bunny Cox, born Berna Lee Parkinson on August 4, 1946, in Lubbock, Texas, was known for her humility, generosity, love, and passionate devotion to those she loved. Serving professionally as a Pastor in the Methodist church, as well as a lengthy career as a successful interior designer, Bunny’s life was devoted to creating peace and beauty, a fact also exemplified by her painting, gardening, and calligraphy. When not engaging in artistic endeavors, Bunny was kept busy raising two generations of children, all of whom she loved fiercely and without end.
Bunny is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas Cox; her sisters, Peggy Parkinson and Pat Murray; her children, Tiffany Roberts and Dax Jones; the grandchildren she raised, Trevor, Nolan, Zeke, and Alex; and her great-grandchildren, Wright, Knox, and Salem. She was preceded in death by her parents, Parky and Squeak Parkinson.
Bunny will be remembered for her loving nature, spirited conversations, unflinching devotion to her faith, and the everlasting impact she had upon everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.
In keeping with Bunny’s love for shared stories and treasured moments, we invite you to leave cherished memories on her memorial page.
