It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Bruce Randall Hill, a beloved cherished father, who left us on December 5, 2024, at the age of 74. He was born on November 3, 1950, in Abilene, Texas, and as a young boy, moved to Lubbock, where he graduated from Monterey High School and attended Texas Tech University.
Bruce wore many hats throughout his life. He dedicated years of hard work on ranches, including the Clegg Ranch in Ozona, Grape Creek Ranch near San Angelo, and Sanderson Ranch, near Post. For the last two decades, he took pride in his role as a crop insurance adjuster with NAU, embracing the challenges and stories that came along with it.
He leaves behind daughter Heather (Allen) Claburn, Ty (Jennifer) Hill and Karrson Unrue; grandchildren, Braxten Claburn, Braden Claburn, Caty Hill and Ally Hill; brother, Dr. Jimmy (Karen) Hill; and sister, Sue (Gary) Price; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Bruce will be laid to rest by his parents, Gerald O. Hill who died in 2020, and his mother, Martha “Marie” Hill in the Eula Cemetery.
Bruce was a man of few words, but those who knew him well understood the warmth and kindness he exuded. He had a deep love for the land and the cowboy lifestyle that shaped him, and his spirit will live on through the memories shared by family and friends.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers followed by committal services at 3:00 PM in the Eula Cemetery.
We invite all who knew Bruce to join us in celebrating his life and legacy. He will be dearly missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
