Brandon and I both met about two years ago during a series of shared personal strife. Though we had common struggles, we also shared a passion for cinema and the craft of filmmaking. I was fortunate enough to attend a screening of one his short films at the Flatlands Film Festival here in Lubbock. Much to his surprise and unaware I was a spectator, I asked about his vision during the Q&A. We even spoke about starting a collective of likeminded artists here in Lubbock. I am going to continue to chase that dream and Brandon will remain a part of this lofty goal! Nevertheless, I came across this film clip on Linked In this morning. I’ve never seen the film but was so compelled by it, I shared it with a personal filmmaking mentor then immediately thought, “What would Brandon’s impression be? I wonder if he’s seen the film. Knowing Brandon and his mental cinema library, he’s probably seen it!” Of course he would have braggadociously schooled me further on the film. Haha! Anyway, below is a link to the film clip. It is an exquisite example of the art of filmmaking. I know Brandon would agree, so I dedicate this link and clip in his memory! https://www.linkedin.com/posts/christinachironna_how-did-they-pull-this-shot-off-in-1964-activity-7317516685920407554-0myi?utm_medium=ios_app&rcm=ACoAAAkpTEoBSg3O1YmMrfBPDPixJ2G41sDYysE&utm_source=social_share_send&utm_campaign=copy_link

My condolences to this family. I didn’t know Brandon for long, but I had the honor of being cast in his short film, “A Spinning Record”. Through this, I got to know Brandon’s creative side and his passion for art, his gentle and kind soul, and his amazing sense of humor. In many ways, he reminded me of a brother. When we were filming, he was always checking in on me to see if I needed anything and made sure that I was okay. He was always so loving and genuine every time I saw him. Meeting him and having the opportunity to work with him has had such a major impact on my life, in the best way possible, and I will forever be thankful to him for giving me the opportunity that he did. He will be greatly missed. I am so thankful to have met him and gotten to be even a small part of his life. Sending love and prayers for the loved ones. Rest in peace, Brandon. ❤️
