She married Bernie on April 5, 1952, in First Baptist Church in Crosbyton, Texas. Bennie was a faithful church member all her life and had a passion for Christ-like no other. She taught Sunday School and held Bible studies and prayer groups for years. She made many trips to other countries sharing the “Good News”. Bennie loved to witness. She loved the Lord and wasn’t afraid to show it or tell it. She loved Bernie and Patty with her whole heart. But we learned later that love was nothing compared to how she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bennie was a hairdresser for 50 years owning her own beauty shop so she could be close to her daughter. Bennie’s heart and her home were always open to friends and family.Survivors include her daughter, Patty Wells, and husband, Bobby; three grandchildren, Jeremy Wells and wife, Kristen; Ben Wells and wife, Allison; Crystal Armes and husband, Kris; five great-grandchildren, Jarek, Kasen, Landry, and Lillie Wells, and Elin Armes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Veda Tyler; husband, Bernice “Bernie” McMillan; brother, James Tyler; and sister, Catherine Justus.
