With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bella Faith Young, of Lubbock, Texas, who left this world far too soon on February 15, 2025, at the tender age of 18. Bella was born on August 1, 2006.

Bella was known for her radiant spirit, compassionate nature, and loving heart. She had an insatiable curiosity about the world, a profound love for animals, and a passion for the arts, particularly theater. Her creativity shined through in everything she did, and her ability to connect with others made her a wonderful sister and friend. Bella’s joy in helping those in need exemplified her genuine kindness and unwavering generosity.

The celebration of Bella’s life will take place on February 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Southcrest Baptist Church, where friends and family will gather to honor her beautiful spirit and share cherished memories. A visitation will be held on February 23, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, providing an opportunity for loved ones to pay their respects.

In this time of sorrow, we remember Bella’s light that touched our lives and the countless ways she made the world a better place. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Bella is survived by her parents, Garrett (Jordan) Young, and Elizabeth Otero- Young; siblings, Gavin Young and Gracelyn Young; grandparents, Gary (Teresa) Young, Charles (Jacklyn) Perry; Marsha (Steve) King.

Bella was preceded in death by her grandparents, Blanca Guajardo and Ignacio Otero.

In lieu of flowers, the family has designated, Parkridge Medical Clinic info@parkridge.org , High Point Village Donation – High Point Village, or Women’s Protective Services Donate – Womens Protective Services, for donations in Bella’s memory.

Hello to Bella’s family! i wanted to tell you how wonderful Bella was to me and her friends. she was in my spanish class and i one day saw her doodling on the side of the paper and i asked her if she liked to draw and she said yes! i loved to draw too so we would show each other our drawings every now and then! she was so nice and caring towards me and i’m forever grateful for that! i loved her personality! i am so sorry for your loss.🙏

My sweet Bella Boo, after years of praying for you. We were blessed by God to be your parents. You were far more than I could have prayed for. And I only thought I knew what Love was till I 1st held you. It was pure joy to watch you bless others with your kind heart, love of drama, your creativity, drawing, painting and just your sweet and caring nature towards others. It is only now, that I understand that you were only on loan from God. While here, you taught me what unconditional love, unbearable loss, unshakeable Faith and Grace feel like. Thank You God, for every moment with Bella on earth. My broken heart says it wasn’t near enough time. What I wouldn’t do to trade places with her. I look forward to the day I see you both again for an eternity. In the meantime, I Plan on making you both very proud. I count my blessings for the lessons you’ve taught me. Though I have stumbled, your presence in my life has made me strive to do better and somehow even now, your sweet spirit has helped me lean into the Bible more than ever before. She was one of the nicest girls I’ve ever met. I didn’t get to spend much time with her when we were in school but she knew how to brighten everyone’s day. She was of the few people I truly liked. I’m so sorry for your loss. I am sending my deepest prayers to you and your family.

Bella was a shining light in my life. While at LBMS she would always give me a hug and a smile and said "Good Morning Miss Karla". She'd see me in the hallways or while going to history and always popped her head in the door to say I Love You. She radiated in theatre. Always a smile and kind words while sacking up my groceries. Bella was one of the first people to ever talk to me when I moved to Lubbock, she was such a great person with a beautiful soul. One of my favorite memories was Halloween when we decided that we would both go as stitch. My heart goes out to the Young family. We became friends in middle school. We shared our love for anime and stupid memes. I don't have a lot to say because this feels so sudden. We grew apart not long ago, and you always reached out to me. You always tried to talk to me and I never accepted it. I'm so so sorry Bella.
