A service to celebrate the life of Artie Hart-Corelis, 57 years of life, is scheduled at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 16, 2023, at The Church on the Rock South Campus. She passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Please view the service broadcasting schedule and an area to share stories of Artie with her family on this page. Artie was born on May 4, 1966, to William and Ronda Lard Hart in Artesia, New Mexico. She married John Corelis on December 31, 1988, in Artesia, New Mexico. She attended college at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico where she received her bachelor’s degree in education, second in her class, Magna Cum Laude, and with honors. After that she began working for Southeast New Mexico’s economic development department, out of Hobbs, New Mexico, this she found her first great passion in life. She loved being able to interact with people from all different walks of life and come up with creative solutions. After having her children, and moving to Lubbock, Texas, she soon found her second great passion in life, being a homeschool mom. Being able to provide her children with a quality education and spend time with them, in a way that was impactful. Artie truly loved people, her outgoing nature and positive outlook that she carried through life allowed her to get along with, understand and befriend anyone, she made numerous lifelong friendships, and truly impacted those around her. Artie is survived by her husband, John Corelis; children, Brylie Corelis, Kyden Corelis, and Saylor Corelis; mother, Ronda Griffin; sister, Jodie Hart; numerous other family and beloved friends. She is preceded in death by her father, William Hart.
