Alan James Davis

The family of Alan Davis will celebrate his life of 68 years at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Redeemer Church. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Saturday, October 9, 2021. He passed away peacefully on October 9, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family.Alan graduated from Coronado High School in 1971 and then earned a B.B.A. in Business Management from Texas Tech University in 1976. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity while at Texas Tech. He has many lifelong friends who have been a special part of his life.Alan married his college sweetheart, Susan Walker, on July 31, 1976, and they were blessed with 3 beautiful daughters — Malia Scott, Lacy Davis Eads, and Ansley Davis Key, all of Lubbock.His business interests began in the deep well turbine pump industry, alongside his dad. He later was the President of ADS Resources and was involved with oil and gas investments. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and approach to thinking that would actively seek out innovative ideas and embrace critical thinking and continuous improvement in several different areas of interest.Alan was a loving, smart, strong, supportive, and protective husband and father. As his daughters were growing up he taught them many life lessons that have served them well in life.He was blessed with four precious grandchildren who loved their “AJ” dearly. He loved teaching each of them new things and watching them grow and find their own individual interests. His grandchildren are Connor Key, Adalie Key, Elliot Eads, and Davis Eads.Alan had a strong, Christian faith that he openly shared with family and friends and new people he met. He knew Jesus was his Creator. We grieve because we love. How lucky we are to have experienced Alan’s love.Alan was predeceased by his parents.Those surviving Alan included his wife, Susan. Daughters Malia Scott of Lubbock; Lacy (Robert) Eads, Elliot and Davis Eads of Lubbock; Ansley (Alonzo) Key, Connor Key, and Adalie Key of Lubbock. Sister Sharon McDonald, nephew Eric Willett of Lubbock, and Megan (Nick) Roossein of Dallas. Additional survivors include brother-in-law William Walker and wife Linda of Albuquerque; Robert Walker and wife Michelle of College Station. Nieces and nephews Bobby (Pam) Walker of College Station, Chase (Stasia) Walker of Longmont, CO; Mallory (Scott) Reyes of Denver, and Caitlin Walker of Midland. Also many great-nieces and nephews.
