The family of Aaron J. McCarthy will celebrate his life of 46 years at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at The Heights Fellowship. He passed on Friday, March 4, 2022. We invite you to sign his virtual guestbook and download his memorial keepsake folder to your device for printing. On January 20, 1976, Aaron Joseph McCarthy was born in Abilene, TX. He married Amy Ables on November 6, 1999, at Raintree Church.  Aaron started his pride and joy, Alpha Sleep Labs, in 2001 and it has since turned into a successful family business.  Aaron’s and Amy’s first child, Madison, was born on February 24, 2003, and Landon was born three years later on August 31, 2006.  He was also very honored to consider himself a father to Aiden Medina, whom he loved as his own.  He was an amazing, ever-present dad, coach, friend, cheerleader, and mentor to Madi, Landon, and Aiden. He felt fortunate enough to share those same qualities with several others and was a well-known “tennis dad” to many of the kids on the Monterey tennis team over the years.  He felt most at home on the sidelines of the courts, encouraging his kids and their teammates to crush the competition- especially if it was Lubbock Cooper.  He was involved in so many things and touched so many people over the years, garnering respect in the community.

He is survived by his wife, Amy McCarthy; daughter, Madison McCarthy; son, Landon McCarthy; and bonus son, Aiden Medina; parents, Thomas and Debra McCarthy and Bill and Shirley DeAtley; sisters, Nichole (Dan) Boyd, April Hanson, Katie (Chris) Farr, and Kellie (Drew) Dell; father and mother-in-law, Ross and Sheila Valigura; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cody Ables, Brian Valigura, Amanda and Travon Benton and Ina and Nathan Miller; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
