May Newsletter

“April showers bring May flowers.” I love this time of year. Flowers are blooming, the sun is shining and we can get out and enjoy the company of friends. For many, spring means renewal — spiritually, emotionally and physically. My hope for you is that you experience all of these things.
We have many working ladies that are left out of activities, so with our new Board member Brenda Grace planning our activities, we will have new things to add to the calendar. The first addition is Movie Night on the 3rd Saturday of each month. We will have our Movie Day on the 3rd Tuesday of each month with details emailed prior to the day. We will have some evenings at the Cactus and other things that will be announced soon. We welcome any suggestions of activities that interest you.

I would like to thank all of you for contributing to Parkridge Pregnancy Center with your beautiful baby gifts at our April Baby Shower. Your generosity is a blessing to many mothers and Parkridge is so grateful. We had 17 ladies go on our Spring trip, travelling in the same vehicle, eating together, shopping, touring the Capital and having a lot of “girlfriend talk and giggles!”We will have our ladies tell you some of the highlights at our dinner this month.

I hope that some of you will take advantage of the free classes at UMC Activity Center the first week in May. We will be going to Tai Chi classes as a group starting this month and line dancing is being planned. Take the time to take care of yourself so that you will feel better emotionally and physically. As always, I look forward to seeing you throughout the month. I love seeing your smiling faces and your great hugs!
