Ladies & Men of Lake Ridge Chapel
The Ladies & Men of Lake Ridge Chapel bring together local widows and widowers to support each other in their loss and enjoy fun activities and shared meals. Friendships often form between these men and women during monthly scheduled meetups and beyond. These events center around lively activities like potlucks, game nights, movie nights, happy hours, and brunches. Group members are invited to participate in the group conversation, share life experiences, and laugh together.
W.I.S.E
W.I.S.E (Wisdom Inspired Senior Education) consists of inspiring and educational one-hour workshops taught by local experts. We created W.I.S.E. to empower Lubbock seniors and share information on relevant topics like hospice care, assisted living, crafting a will, Medicare coverage, and more. Each W.I.S.E. event allows seniors to connect with their peers and share ideas and inspiration. These events cover a range of topics, from mindfulness and meditation to crafting healthy meals at home. Our senior neighbors can participate in holiday gatherings like a Valentine’s Day dance and attend engaging talks regarding civic issues and local happenings. We understand the importance of supporting individuals as they age, and our W.I.S.E. events are open to everyone in the community, regardless of age and whether they have previously used our services.
